Degree awards ceremony and collect your diploma

Coronavirus
VU University follows the guidelines of the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) and the Government. VU University has decided that unfortunately there will be limited activities at the campus.

Obtaining your diploma
All graduation ceremonies have been cancelled until 1 January 2021. We will offer a festive event at a later time to celebrate your graduation. You will be informed about this at the end of 2020.
Diploma collecting moments are also cancelled until 1 January 2021. We aim to organize collecting moments from January onwards but are bound by the guidelines in force at that time. More information will follow at the end of 2020.

Graduation continues
Graduation continues, it is processed daily. You will receive an e-mail of the Education Office as soon as your grade has been processed. You can also check this in Studielink. Once DUO has received this information, you will see a degree ceremony date under ‘My educational background’.

Graduation statement
As soon as your grade is processed you can request a graduation statement from the Student Administration on VUnet. You can also download an electronic diploma extract from the DUO diploma registry as soon as DUO has been informed of your graduation date. An electronic diploma extract has the same value as a certified copy of your diploma. An electronic extract from the degree registry is free of charge.
