Within the Master Drug Discovery & Safety, in collaboration with Dr Maikel Wijtmans and Dr Albert Kooistra, a prototype of a virtual reality (VR) instrument has been developed with which students can explore and manipulate the 3D structure of molecules. Hereby, students can ‘walk around’ structures, but also dive into a structure to examine its details.
The awarded project combines further development of this VR tool with the development of learning strategies as practical tools for the staff.
The Comenius program enables teachers to put their vision on education into practice. Within the Comenius program three types of scholarships exist. The grant awarded to van Muijlwijk-Koezen (Senior Fellow) is for innovation within an entire program (100,000 euros).
