Frigo's awarded research proposal focuses on automating reverse engineering and attack surface analysis for modern DRAM chips. This is a natural follow up to his work (TTRespass) on finding vulnerabilities in state-of-the-art in-DRAM defenses against Rowhammer attacks, which was recently awarded Best Paper at the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (the leading Computer Security conference).

The QIF program is focused on recognizing and rewarding innovative PhD students and their forward thinking ideas in research areas related to Qualcomm’s core values of innovation.
