Lipidomics

An enormous amount of different types of lipids in cells and play a key role in for instance  cell membranes, energy storage or are used in signaling pathways. The large-scale study of lipids in biological systems is called lipidomics and involves the analysis of a broad range of lipids. We are developing lipidomic approaches to study various classes of lipids, of which some are related to cell signalling and neuroinflammation. Studies are conducted to investigate if chemical exposure alters lipid pathways and if these are related to phenotypical, behavior or developmental changes.
