In close cooperation with scientists FMIB develops high grade instrumentation enabling research on the cutting edge of science.
FMIB assist research and education by producing parts for research setups and by providing service.
FMIB facilitates the valorisation of technical setups by designing commercial products and manufacture the first series.

Micropicker MCD100

The Micropicker is the first picking tool for the selection and collection of particles such as mineral grains with a size of 30µm-1000µm. It is specifically designed for use in scientific research. This unique tool shortens picking times and improves selectivity of picking.

Stereotaxic System STS100

An easy to use and versatile stereotaxic system for surgery on mice. The highly advanced stereotaxic system STS100 has been developed in close collaboration of scientists and lab technicians of the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research with staff of the fine mechanics and electronics departments of the VU University Amsterdam. The STS100 is adjustable for both right- and left-handed users. It has two arms with a drill and a pin/electrode holder that can be rotated and locked for stabile drilling and other surgical procedures.

With the Kobracel, it is possible to detect the presence of aflatoxins B1 and G1. The construction of the Kobracel was developed in the eighties, and still we manufacture this product, which is put on the market by an outside firm.
